Very Happy with Hilton Head Guest Services Vacation Package and Staff

My husband and I traveled to Hilton Head Island for a trip with Hilton Head Guest Services June 16 thru June 19, 2011. We received $40 in gift certificates to use at various merchants on the Island during our visit. On our last night, we decided to use them at Aqua Grille and Lounge. When it was time to pay our bill, we gave the waitress our certificates and she said that they were under new management and could not accept the certificates for payment.

When we returned home to Virginia, I called Hilton Head Guest Services to let them know that we were disappointed that Aqua would not receive our certificates for dinner. I spoke with a very nice Guest Services Rep named Shirley who told me that the restaurant had made a mistake and they should have taken the certificates. Shirley apologized for the inconvenience and asked me to simply mail the unused certificates to the Hilton Head Guest Services Office and they would gladly write me a check for $40 to cover the cost of the unaccepted certificates!  WOW…I was so surprised at how nice they were and the fact that they are sending me a check when it was not even their fault is amazing!  I cannot say enough good things about Hilton Head Guest Services and their staff. We absolutely enjoyed our stay on Hilton Head Island! So much in fact that we are saving to move to Bluffton!!
