When we were contacted about taking a trip to Hilton Head and were offered a boat load of incentives and a very low price, we thought it was too good to be true. We signed up for the trip to preview the Coral Resorts and when we found out we had to stay in a hotel and not the resort, we were irate. Once the clerk gave us all of our incentives - dinner coupons, a day trip to Savannah, golf, and a discount card for shopping, we were starting to feel better. Once we arrived at the beautiful hotel, we were thrilled. We had a wonderful trip, received awesome discounts and are considering purchasing a timeshare at the beautiful Coral Resorts property!
We would recommend the VacationPlay trip to Hilton Head to folks that are condsidering it. Very nice customer service reps, hotel, and free or deeply discounted certificates to use at all of Hilton Head's top attreactions and restaurants. Excellent deal!
My husband and I traveled to Hilton Head Island for a trip with Hilton Head Guest Services June 16 thru June 19, 2011. We received $40 in gift certificates to use at various merchants on the Island during our visit. On our last night, we decided to use them at Aqua Grille and Lounge. When it was time to pay our bill, we gave the waitress our certificates and she said that they were under new management and could not accept the certificates for payment.
When we returned home to Virginia, I called Hilton Head Guest Services to let them know that we were disappointed that Aqua would not receive our certificates for dinner. I spoke with a very nice Guest Services Rep named Shirley who told me that the restaurant had made a mistake and they should have taken the certificates. Shirley apologized for the inconvenience and asked me to simply mail the unused certificates to the Hilton Head Guest Services Office and they would gladly write me a check for $40 to cover the cost of the unaccepted certificates! WOW…I was so surprised at how nice they were and the fact that they are sending me a check when it was not even their fault is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Hilton Head Guest Services and their staff. We absolutely enjoyed our stay on Hilton Head Island! So much in fact that we are saving to move to Bluffton!!

Wanted to comment, that yes, we did the vacationplay mini-vaccation and timeshare tour on Hilton Head and it worked out well for us. We got lots of free gifts, a super discounted trip to Hilton Head and saw the top notch resort on the island. We did not purchase a timeshare unit, but it sure was tempting. Even after we declined, the staff were still pleasant and we left to enjoy our remaining time on the island. Seemed like a great deal to us.
I was recently contacted by vacationplay.com and offered a 'discount resort gift package for $50 which includes golf package certificates, a discount card to use for shopping around Hilton Head, a Jazz Corner package, and discounts for Daufuskie Island or Savannah… if we attended a 90 minute timeshare presentation for their resort. This sounds like a good deal and we really wouldn’t mind seeing the property that is available since we do vacation on HH all the time…so for $50 and only 90 minutes out of our week we are spending there, we are thinking about doing it. But we have not heard of this company or deal before and was wondering if anyone has ever taken the tour or knows if the coupons and gift package is legit? ~ Thanks in advance~ Alexis from Greensboro, NC
There are several timeshare companies located on Hilton Head Island. The offer you mentioned is a typical deal that these companies do offer as incentive for taking part in their presentation. Several people on this site have indicated that they have taken part in the presentation and have enjoyed the perks of the discounts and gifts. As with any offer with any company, be sure you get all of the details so you will know exactly what the package entails.
Alexis, saw your post and wanted to tell you that we did the vacationplay timeshare tour deal and it worked out great for us. We love to visit Hilton Head, but it can be kinda expenseive especially during the summer when all of the fun stuff is happening. It was for sure legit and it saved us a ton of money and we got to do some cool stuff we would not have been able to afford. It was even kinda fun to do the time share deal, because you got to see places on Hilton Head that you normally would not see during your visit. I mean for the 90 minutes, and the discounts and stuff we got, I would take it every time we go to Hilton head if I could!!! Brad C.
